All exhibits must be picked up between the hours of 3:00 – 4:00 p.m., SUNDAY ONLY. Exhibits will not leave
the show before 3:00 p.m. No exceptions! Artists must have receipts to take entries from the exhibit hall.
– Entries are judged Saturday morning, March 10th, by a qualified judge. The judging is closed to the public. The critique is from 1:30 to 2:00 p.m.
– A favorite feature of the show is the ‘Popular Vote’. The public votes on the exhibit of their choice in each division. Votes are taken on Saturday until 4:00 p.m. and winners are recognized with first, second and third place ribbons.
– Ribbons are awarded to exhibits that merit recognition. The judge’s selection is final. Blue, red and white ribbons will given in each student category and blue and red ribbons in the adult category. One judge’s choice will be given in the adult and student category for ‘Best of Show’.
This year, we will have a special showcase featuring the work of Bill Swango. Be sure to check out some of Bill’s past amazing work!
WHO MAY EXHIBIT:
Hobbyists, handicrafters, painters, photographers, weavers, welders and many others who pursue art for its recreational value and reside in Fulton County.
A maximum of (3) items may be entered for adults and (1) for students. They must consist of ORIGINAL works, not previously displayed in a Town & Country art exhibit. Original means not copied from a book, not copied from instructors and others, not published photographs found in magazines, postcards, patterned items and/or kits. The committee has the right to reject any exhibit found to be copied.
An entry fee of $5 per exhibit will be charged to adult and college student entries. Grade and high school students are not charged. Fee is paid when the exhibit is presented for entry. Adult entries are limited to (1) item per exhibit subject to the discretion of the Art Show committee.
Open to all media. The artist should designate work upon entering the exhibit as belonging to a category. General categories are stated as paintings, drawings, prints, crafts, sculptures and photography. Under each general category may be the following clarification:
Painting: Oils, acrylics, transparent watercolor, opaque watercolor, mixed media.
Drawings: Pencil, ink, pastel, crayon, charcoal, chalk, mixed media.
Printmaking: Block print, linoleum or wood, steel plate, copper, collage, found materials, silk screen.
Crafts: Ceramics, pottery, stoneware, jewelry, enameling, weaving, stitchery, wood, plastic, fiberglass. *No Kits allowed*
Sculpture: Wood, metal, cast, carved, assembled.
Photography: Black and white, color.
Paintings, drawings and photographs must be suitably framed and/or matted. Exhibits are displayed on hooks.
ALL EXHIBITS MUST BE READY FOR HANGING OR THEY WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED. SIZE AND
WEIGHT RESTRICTIONS ON ALL EXHIBITS ARE AS FOLLOWS: Sculptures will be 4’x4’
with a 6’ height limit and 100# MAXIMUM weight; all other exhibits will be 36”x 48” frame
included. Exhibit owners should carry some type of insurance to cover art work while at the gallery. Consult your local insurance agency about such coverage. The sponsoring group is not responsible in case of damage or loss of exhibits.
THE FULTON COUNTY TOWN & COUNTRY ART SHOW COMMITTEE HAS THE RIGHT TO ACCEPT OR REJECT ANY EXHIBIT DUE TO SUBJECT MATTER AND/OR ITS PRESENTATION IN ORDER TO AVOID CONTROVERSY.
ENTRIES ARE LIMITED TO RESIDENTS OF AND STUDENTS IN FULTON COUNTY. No entry in the Fulton County Town & Country Art show may be shown in another county prior to this show.

The exhibit hall is open to the public at no cost and the show is sponsored by the Canton Park District.
